Pests

A German cockroach is about 5/8 inch in length, light brown in color with two dark stripes down their back.  The female carries their egg capsule until they hatch.  Each capsule holds an average of 30 babies.

German cockroaches multiply rapidly and can get in walls, outlets, appliances, boxes, etc.  They are most commonly found in kitchens and bathrooms, but can be found in other areas, as well.  They are usually more active at night or in dark places like cabinets and drawers.

Good sanitation is very important.  Dirty dishes should be washed immediately, wipe down the table and counters, avoid putting food scraps in the trash, remove trash often, avoid clutter, store all food products in airtight containers and call your pest control professional at the first sign of infestation.

Early detection and treatment by a certified pest control operator is very important.  Once German roaches are established control is more difficult and costly.  Repeat treatments may be necessary to eliminate them from the structure.
